Emma Lois Rush

Emma Lois Rush, 75, of Du Quoin and formerly of Nashville, Tenn. died at 10:30 p.m. on Friday, July 6, 2001 at the Marshall Browning Hospital emergency room.
Mrs. Rush was born August 28, 1925 in Nashville, Tenn., the daughter of Andrew and Margaret Louise (Huffman) Roberson. She married Eldred Lane Rush on May 28, 1994 in Du Quoin. She was a hospital housekeeper and of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include her husband, Eldred Rush of Du Quoin; three sons, Jonny Bryan of Knoxville, Tenn., and Robert Clay Kemp and James Michael Kemp, both of Nashville, Tenn.; four daughters, Vickie Baker of Du Quoin, and Melissa Gannon, Wanda Simpson and Patricia Taylor, all of Nashville, Tenn.; a brother, Floyd Roberson of Franklin, Tenn.; two sisters, Bibby Hagar of Nashville, Tenn. and Martha Cates of Hendersonville, Tenn.; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, a grandson, two brothers and a sister.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2001 at Woodbine Funeral Home in Nashville, Tenn. Visitation was from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial was in Chapel Hill Cemetery in Nashville. 
The Neal-McClure Funeral Home in Du Quoin was in charge of local arrangements.
